Slow speeds

Find out which resource is slow first, then fix the cause.

  1. Make sure the request actually goes through CoderBoost:
    • Browser: works automatically in PAC mode.
    • Terminal: make sure https_proxy is set with echo $https_proxy.
  2. Make sure the resource is on the list: search for the domain on the resources page or under Services in the client. Sites outside the list go direct over your network, so their speed has nothing to do with CoderBoost. You can request it.
  3. The residential line is naturally a bit slower: resources on the Residential Line, such as Claude Code, have higher latency than ordinary accelerated routes. That is expected.
  4. Try another edge node: pick an edge node with lower latency in Node settings (mind the 30-day change quota).
  5. Peak hours: public links carry more load in the evening, so some variation is normal. If it stays slow, contact support.
  6. Local network: weak Wi-Fi or an overloaded router also hurts speed. Compare with a cable or another network.
