Node selection and quotas
The three segments (edge node, IDC exit, residential exit) can be chosen separately, and each has a 30-day change quota.
Under Me → Node settings in the client you will find three segments:
- Edge node: the relay node closest to you with the lowest latency.
- IDC exit: the exit used by the AI Compliant Exit route.
- Residential exit: the exit used by the Residential Line. On the Max (Residential) plan this segment is dedicated to you and read-only.
Each segment shows your current choice and the available node pool. Changes take effect as soon as you save.
Change quotas
Each segment has a limit on changes within 30 days (shown as "X changes left in 30 days"). AI platforms treat frequent exit-IP changes as suspicious, so the limit protects your account.
When to change
- Edge node: when you work from another city or network for a long time.
- Exit: when an AI service keeps failing on the current exit and support recommends a change.
In most cases the default is best; the server checks node health continuously.
